From Liner Notes: Mrs. Cathy Mbati was born in Detroit, Michigan. She attended the Piney Woods School in Mississippi and was a graduate of Barrington College. After graduation she married a young Christian man from Kenya, West Africa, who today is a high official in the Kenya government. During the time she lived in the United States, she made many public appearances where she was the featured singer. At one time, she sang with the popular Cotton Blossom Singers in Mississippi. She also made a recording with the Rift Valley Academy Chorale. Presently, she is making regular appearances both in music concerts as well on TV and radio in Nairobi.
