From the liner notes:  "This album was recorded at home. The microphones were plugged directly into the back of a Studer 16 track tape machine, bypassing the recording console."  "This Compact Disc contains 2 Extra Tracks not included on the record and cassette versions of McCartney II.  "Check My Machine" - was originally released as the B side on the single "Waterfalls". "Secret Friend" - was originally released as the B Side on the single "Temporary Secretary". Both singles were made available during 1980 the year in which McCartney II was released."
