Notes:
According to several sources, "When You And I Were Young, Maggie" (A1) was originally written by James Austin Butterfield (music) and George Washington Johnson (lyrics), but revised (wikipedia says "rescored") several times, here by Jimmy McHugh and Jack Frost. Note that "Frost" is misprinted here as "Forst." According to liner notes, "Slidin' Swing is comprised of two complete ten inch long-playing records, Vic Dickenson Septet No. 3 and Urbie Green and his Band, which were produced and supervised by the noted jazz authority, John Hammond, for Vanguard Records' Jazz Showcase Series." Hence "Compilation" designation and credit listings for Hammond.
